Fire and Rain was James Taylor’s breakthrough recording. It achieved the #3 ranking in US in 1970. From the critically acclaimed album, Sweet Baby James, Fire and Rain was influenced by Taylor’s struggles with a friend’s suicide and his own mental trials. It truly is a classic, and James performs a wonderful rendition  of the tune at the Beacon Theater.
