Deep Purple is a successful rock band formed in 1968. The band is regarded as one of the innovators of modern hard rock. The English band has sold over 100 million albums. Deep Purple had success with a single released from Shades of Deep Purple - a cover of a Joe South tune, Hush. Also on the album is their rendition of the Beatles’ Help.
