High End Speaker System
Most Expensive Speakers?
If you just won the lottery, and are looking to upgrade your audio system, Sound & Vision reports on speakers which may meet your new expanded budget:
Sweden’s Transmission Audio might have developed the most expensive speaker to date.
For mid-range and high-frequency sound, the Ultimate system includes 2 MF/HF speaker panels that each contain 34 meters of the company’s ribbon drivers, with 652 neodymium magnets. For low-frequency sound, two woofer panels each use 24 8-inch aluminum cone woofers.
But let me run this by you: six MF/HF panels and six woofer panels (and a small nuclear generator to power them all), to make the truly ultimate 6.1 sound system, the $6 million home theater.
